It’s sure difficult to concentrate when you’re sitting next to James Marsden and then Patrick Dempsey. At the risk of sounding unprofessional, I certainly didn’t take my eyes off them. (They look way cuter in real life.) Ahem. But hey, when I interview people I usually maintain eye contact, like how I would when I talk to anyone. It’s quite a neat trick, doing that and scribbling in your notebook at the same time.
When you interview celebrities, you’re often struck by how normal and yet how charismatic they are at the same time. And when they leave, you really wonder whether it really happened.
The day before, we were taken to the El Capitan Theatre at Hollywood to watch the movie Enchanted, which is opposite the Kodak Theatre.

The news continues to be fascinating to watch. I can’t help but notice how the American version of CNN is decidedly more perky compared to the international one that we receive. And how it’s usually only about America. Just this morning I found out - via a one-minute snippet - that a volcano erupted in Java! Ignorance is bliss?
Last day here. My flight is at midnight, which really sucks because LAX is a really boring airport. Compared to the ever-awesome shopping mecca Changi, or the very spacious and comfy KLIA, LAX is … well, LAX is not even Heathrow, which has more shopping and shower facilities!
At noon, I hope to visit the Century mall again, and then only return to the hotel around 7pm to catch a cab to LAX. Sigh 11 hours to Taipei … (tries not to sob).
BTW, I found it really interesting that my last breakfast at Beverly Hilton was served by a man named Jesus!*
* Yeah, I hear it’s a common name among Latinos. ![]()
